Today there was a national holiday for
Prophet Mohammad's (SWS) birthday.
(His birthday is not celebrated on the same day every year, it changes since the Islamic World follows the lunar calender.)
It is not a hyped up day, its more like a day of remeberance to the great prophet. I'm glad his birthday hasn't turned into a marketing and partying bonanza or another hallmark holiday!
I perfer it to be a day of quiet reflection and rememberance!
*A side note, our university did not give us Monday off, but on Wednesday.
It's the thought that counts.
